September is National Sewing Month. The Contra Costa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is celebrating this month with a display of our completed projects. Our members sew garments and quilts and Community Service Projects. We also spin wool into yarn and knit sweaters from that yarn. We make newborn layettes for babies at the community hospital, dresses for Dress a Girl Around the World, and placemats for Meals on Wheels. Best of all we welcome all who want to sharpen their sewing skills and learn something new. Come join us.
We thank the Antioch Community Library for the use of their display window and we hope all who visit enjoy our samples.
